"The Itch..."

What do you do when you get the itch…

Whether you’re married or in a long term relationship, at one time or another, everyone gets the itch sooner or later(well, maybe not EVERYONE, but everyone I know anyway). It comes at any time, like a thief in the night, stealthily, stealing all that you believed to be true, all that you thought you had, all that you thought you were.

For some , it’s subtle, like a soft breeze that tussles your hair on a warm summer’s day. It comes in gently, and leaves just as gently, and then it’s over, uneventful and forgotten. For others, it’s much more intense, a sudden unexpected wave, rushing in, knocking you off your feet
.
What do you do then?

You call your girlfriend. You tell her all about HIM. He’s witty, he’s charming, he’s well dressed, well mannered. Or , maybe he’s rebellious, a free spirit, sex on legs. Before you know it, an entire hour has gone by, and you’ve done nothing but talk about him. You end the conversation swearing that nothing will EVER happen between you…until…

The first coffee date, lunch date…late meeting, drinks after work, whatever the venue, it is inevitable, the most sought after prize between potential lovers is time spent in each other’s company.

A cing-a-sept with co-workers, turns into a neuf-a-minuit between the two of you. The conversation turns more and more intimate, light brushes of hands, subtle innuendos, intense stares.

The next call you make to your girlfriend is the morning after the night before…
You confess everything!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that if you get the itch, the only solution is to scratch it, I’m simply saying that it is very easy on get caught up, so be very careful, stay true to you.
